When2meet
The bare-bones availability grid that has coordinated group meetings unchanged since 2005.
When2meet is the original availability-grid scheduler and, deliberately, one of the most minimal tools in this list. You create an event by choosing candidate dates and a daily time range, share the generated link, and every participant clicks and drags across the grid to paint when they are free. The tool overlays everyone's responses into a single heat map so the organizer can spot the time that works for the most people.
Its appeal is the near-total absence of friction and commitment. There are no accounts, and the site explicitly states it asks for no contact or billing information. It is entirely free, funded only by optional PayPal donations, and carries no real advertising. The interface has barely changed in nearly two decades, which is precisely why it remains a default for quick, throwaway group coordination where anything heavier would be overkill.
The flip side is that When2meet does exactly one thing. There is no calendar sync, no reminders, no branding, no booking pages, and no mobile app — just the grid. It is not a Calendly alternative for publishing personal availability; it is the fastest possible way to find a time across a group when you do not want to think about tooling at all.
Anyone who wants the fastest possible way to find a group meeting time with no accounts, no ads, and no setup.
